We are proud to announce that this month we mark our twentieth anniversary!
Twenty years ago, the first issue of ASHÉ! Journal appeared. The cover featured artwork by the late Raul Canizares. The issue featured writing by Trebor Healey, Farrell R. Davisson, Jim Provenzano, Mogg Morgan, Ruth Moore, Sven Davisson, and Vivek Anand. In 2007, we published our first full length book.
Queer Mojo imprint launched in 2008; Queer Space curated by Joseph Campbell in 2020; Arabi Manor 2021; and later this year Library of Homosexual Congress, curated in partnership with Tom Cardamone, is set to release its inaugural title.
This year we also reach another milestone publishing our 150th distinct title. Our momentum continues to grow. In 2021, we published 27 titles and this year we are on track to release over 30.
We are indebted to our readers and our family of authors. It is our honor and pleasure to serve our communities providing a platform for unique and diverse voices; and expanding diversity in genre fiction.
We are excited for what’s coming up in 2023 and beyond. We are in the midst of assembling an incredible list of authors for next year. We’ve already announced upcoming titles from Brian Alessandro, Octavio R. Gonzalez, Christian Baines, Thabo Clive Mathonsi, Eron Mazza. In addition, we have recently penned agreements for works by Eran Eads, Rasma Haidri, James Callan, Jessica Dunker, Allan Barnett, John Patrick, and Emanuel Xavier.
