Vulture
In Vulture, the ruinous city that remains after the disastrous Water Wars, anarchy rules. Graffiti gangs have become the bleak norm, each tribe denoted by unique colors and values. Separated as toddlers, siblings Finch and Rigby have grown up unwittingly pitted against one another within the lethally competitive world of Vulture. Rigby comes of age among the Regals, Vulture’s cruelest gang, headed by the vicious warlord Richard while Finch has successfully remained independent of the gangs. However, circumstances bring him closer to Vulture’s horrors than ever before. Can they make it to freedom together?
Fletcher Michael is a writer and PhD student in the English Department at the University of Rhode Island. He grew up on Aquidneck Island and is a graduate of Salve Regina University (BA) and the Catholic University of America (MA). Prior to attending graduate school, he spent a year teaching English abroad in Chiayi, Taiwan and another year working at an art gallery-slash-television studio in Manhattan. He is also the author of the forthcoming novel Glass Bottle Season (Bound to Brew Press).
