Rebel Satori is pleased to announce that we have acquired a magickal new work by Dave Gaddy: The Simple Magick of Wild Things—Nurturing a Witch’s Heart in the Quiet Places.
The Simple Magick of Wild Things is a book written for the beginning and the seasoned practitioner alike. It’s meant to be used as a guide through many thoughts and practices handed down through generations of country folk and Appalachian folk Magick combined with modern day wytchery. This book will highlight principles and rituals designed to assist with regenerating and manifesting lost passion for the craft.
The Simple Magick of Wild Things will take the reader on journeys through winding country roads, walks in the woods, exchanges with the gods and creatures of the woodland and recognizing the magick around us. It is a look into my path as a male witch born and raised in a rural setting and walking the magickal path laid before me.
Some of the chapters for the book include, ‘Recognizing the Magick Around Us’, ‘Walking the Path Without Fear’, ‘Finding Yourself When You Feel Lost’, and ‘Learning the Language of the Forest Gods’. Simple Magick is a culmination of over 20 years of practice and the influence of Appalachian Folklore and mystery. I will encourage the reader to find the magick within them and to remember what called them to the Craft from the start. It will help the reader to embrace their past an incorporate it into the path ahead. This book is an extension of the heart and soul of my own path and will offer practical and simple options to incorporate into magickal workings.
As the Weathered Wiseman, Dave is descended from over five generations of folk whose lives were steeped in the magic and mystery of the Appalachian Mountains. Early in his career he studied theology and became an ordained minister, then his true calling brought him home to his roots and to embracing the magical arts in Appalachian Folk and Nature Magic. With over thirty years devoted to his Craft, he is wise in the ways of animal magick, emotional and spiritual healing (with special focus on the masculine spirit), bone-throwing, intuitive readings, and ancestral workings.
Simple Magick will be released in early 2024.
