French Quarter Nights & Other Stories, originally published in 1996 by Masquerade Books, is the second title to be reissued by the Rebel Satori Press imprint, The Library of Homosexual Congress, curated by Tom Cardamone and Sven Davisson.
French Quarter Nights & Other Stories collected erotic fiction from that era’s hottest gay stroke magazines. Periodicals like Blueboy and Mandate were not only stuffed with sexy photos of naked men, but were dripping with steamy tales, the best of which contained strong doses of gritty nightlife and nearly forgotten gay culture. “Kerouac at the Everard” and “Fire Island Threesome” deliver the goods while capturing the palpable energy of places vital to gay history.
