Happy Lùnastal

Free lavender soap with every order in August

The first traditional harvest festival of the season: Lùnastal in Scottish Gaelic, also known as Lughnasadh or Lammas. In Irish mythology, the feast day is said to have begun with the god Lugh in commemoration of his mother (or foster-mother) Taitiu who died from exhaustion after clearing the fields for agriculture. This festival continues to be celebrated around the world by neopagans, witches, and Celtic revivalists (on August 1 in the Northern Hemisphere, February 1 in the Southern).
